Provision MP3 - Played by Richard Yates
Fox's two solo guitar pieces Provision and Morning Rise are inspired by a story of redemption. The first movement, Provision, illustrates an act of love that was created to supply a need, followed by Morning Rise, which expresses a joyous celebration, a battle won. Morning Rise opens with a cross-string introduction that depicts the rising sun, a statement of a new beginning.
Both pieces are lyrical in nature with a hybrid of pop/Latin rhythms and filled with Jazz harmonies.
The two can be played as a set, or can stand alone. Provision is featured as the 2006 Contemporary Series piece in Vol. XXII. No. 1&2, 2006 of Soundboard Magazine.
