For more than 25 years Randal G. (RG) Rhoades has been an active music educator, performer, R. G. Rhoades and arranger. Prior to his graduation from Indiana University of PA (BS Music Education) his mentors included Edward F. McGuire (author of Guitar Fingerboard Harmony formerly published by Mel Bay) and Irwin Kauffman, guitar instructor at I.U.P and cellist for the Pittsburg Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to his active private studio, Mr. Rhoades is head of the guitar program at the Milton Hershey School where he oversees private and group instruction and serves as director of three guitar ensembles. Other teaching responsibilities include his position as an adjunct instructor at Harrisburg Area Community College where he teaches MIDI and Computer Applications and Music Business and the Internet through their Virtual Campus.

Mr. Rhoades has arranged and composed numerous pieces for guitar ensemble, flute and guitar duo, as well as flute, voice, and guitar trio that have been published or distributed by Heron Creek Music, Clear Note and JW Pepper.
