All In A Day's Work by Rex Willis
The process of exertion through various activities to produce an endless array of products is known by the one simple word, work. Work happens through many manifestations: the construction laborer swinging a hammer; the nurse administering a shot; the restaurant manager keeping customers happy; the musician spending hours practicing.
And now the composer, taking the spark of an idea and making it grow while planning the blue print of potential measures, calculating thousands of notes which must arrive in the right place at the right time, understanding the style of music and instruments, melodic content, harmonic and rhythmic schemes, certainly inspired but realizing the vast amount of toil and sweat to create the finished product. It's just All In A Day's Work.
