"After several trips to the Czech Republic and hearing the unique and wonderful sounds of their folk music, I was inspired to write Ballato di Brno. This work is especially in honor of the International Guitar Festival Brno, directed by Vladislav Blaha. Dedication also goes to classical guitarist, Rene Gonzalez of Miami, for presenting the world premiere in 2006 at the Festival Brno."
