Scherzo after Hindemith for solo Guitar

This work was inspired by the second movement "Turandot" of Hindemith's 1943 Symphonic Metamorphosis. Composed on a pentatonic infused Asian theme, my adaptation includes tremolo, contrary motion counterpoint (Baroque/contemporary style), with whole tone harmonies and New York jazz influences.

Born in Argentina and living in New York since 2000 composer Carlos Pavan combines tango/folklore rhythms with jazz & classical concepts.
